How it works

Create an account and joint our community

  • 1-3 Business days
    Get verified

We verify your identity to prevent bots and fraudulent activities.

  • Create a house

Create a house, setup house rules, and invite other people to join. You can create as many houses as you want as long as you are financially able to participate in the house.

  • Join a house

Accept invitations from other people to join their house. Only accept invitations from people you trust.

  • Play

On every member's turn, you can either play or pass. You play by transfering money to the house, which will then be passed to the receiving member.

  • Collect

On your turn, every member who you have played must play you back the same amount of money you played to them. Members who have not had thier turn yet will decide to either play or pass.

  • Repeat

When every member has had a turn, the cycle completes. The house coordinator must then decide whether to start a new cycle or close the house.

Houses

A house is a community of people (family, friends, neighbors, etc.) who have mutually agreed to support each other through Njangy.

Any person in the community can create a house and invite other people to join. Houses are private and can only be joined by invitation.

Cycles

A cycle is a round of Njangy where members take turns to collect from other members. The cycle ends when every member has had a turn.

House rules can be adjusted at the start of each cycle, but cannot be changed once the cycle has started.

Turns

A turn is a step in the cycle where a member collects from other members.

Turns occur on a predetermined schedule (like once a week or once a month) which can be adjusted by the house coordinator at the start of each cycle.

FAQ

You can join a house by creating one or by accepting an invitation from a house member of a house created by someone else. Note that joining a house requires a registration fee. The amount is decided by the house coordinator and varies from house to house. The fee is automatically deducted from your funds when you join. You cannot join a house if your balance is less than the house's registration fee

You can also be removed from a house by the coordinator or by clicking the leave button at anytime as long as you do not owe any debts and no debts are owed to you.

Registration fees are a predefined amount of money every member must pay before joing a house and at the start of every house cycle. The amount is decided by the house creator/coordinator. Njangy collects a small percentage of the fees to help keep the platform running. The rest is deposited to the house's funds. The house coordinator, together with house members, decides how house funds are used. It's common to use some funds for social activities. Some houses loan out money from house funds to members which brings interest. Excess funds are generally redistributed back to members at the end of the cycle. Some houses carry over excess funds into the next cycle. Each house has complete control over house funds. Njangy does not prescribe nor decide how houses utilize their funds.

Njangy currently supports payments through Mobile Money (MTN and Orange), Paypal, and Cryptocurrency. For crypto payments we only accept coins and tokens supported by Coinbase - this includes Bitcoin, Etherum etc.
